Changing your account email
Your account email is the address you sign in with and where CoreHue sends notifications and security codes. Change it under Settings → Account. You'll need access to both your current and new inboxes.
This is your sign-in email. The email clients see on invoices and contracts is your Business email, under Business details and logo.
Changing your email
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Next to Email, choose Change.
- Confirm it's you: choose Send code and enter the 6-digit code sent to your current address.
- In Change email, enter your New email and choose Send code.
- Enter the code sent to your new address and choose Change email.
CoreHue confirms with "Email changed to" and your new address. From then on, sign in with the new email.
The two codes prove you still control your current inbox and that the new one really is yours. Each code lasts 10 minutes, and you can ask for another after 60 seconds.
If you sign in with Google
If Google is connected, CoreHue shows Disconnect Google first, because your Google sign-in is tied to your current address.
- Make sure you have a password. If not, set one under Password first.
- Under Sign-in methods, choose Disconnect next to Google.
- Change your email as above.
You can link Google again afterwards by signing in with Google using your new address. See Signing in, passwords and Google.
Frequently asked questions
I can't get into my old inbox any more. Can I still change my email?
Not on your own. The first code goes to your current address, so you'll need access to it. If you've lost it, contact us and we'll help you verify it's you.
Will my clients see my new email?
No, not from changing your sign-in email. Clients see your Business email on invoices and documents, which you set separately under Settings → Business.
Why is my email greyed out on the Profile tab?
Your account email is shown on the Profile tab for reference only. Changes happen on the Account tab, where CoreHue can confirm it's you.
