Choosing which notifications you get

CoreHue tells you when something happens, like a new inquiry, a signed contract or a payment. Everything lands in your notifications list in the app, and Settings → Notifications decides which of those also arrive by email. Turn off what you don't read, so the important ones stand out.

These are emails to you. Messages that go to your clients automatically are reminders, which are set up separately.

Turning notification emails on or off

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications.
  2. Use the switch beside any event to turn its email on or off. Changes save as you go.

Notification emails at the top is the main switch. Turn it off and every email below is paused, while your notifications list in the app keeps working.

Every email starts switched on except Private photos, which starts off.

Downloads covers single photos and videos. Full gallery downloads is a client downloading the whole gallery as a ZIP.

A few alerts only ever appear in your notifications list, with no email to switch: email delivery problems on a booking or document, a message that couldn't be delivered, and a replaced reply address on a conversation.

What to keep on

  • New inquiry: the most time-sensitive thing that happens.
  • Payment received, Payment failed and Invoice payment submitted: a client is often waiting on you. Invoice payment submitted means a client wants you to confirm a manual payment.
  • Contract signed: some contracts need your counter-signature.
  • New messages: so client replies don't sit unread.

What you might turn off

  • Downloads, if you deliver big galleries. One email per download adds up fast.
  • New collections, if clients make lots of selections.

You lose nothing by turning these off. The same events still show in your notifications list and in each gallery's Activity tab.

Unsubscribing from an email

Notification emails carry an unsubscribe link. It turns off that one kind of email, and you can switch it back on here any time. Account and security emails, like sign-in codes, aren't affected.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn off notifications inside the app?

No. Your in-app notifications list always stays on, so nothing important can be silenced completely. This page controls only the emails.

Why am I not getting emails for client downloads?

Go to Settings → Notifications and check that Downloads (or Full gallery downloads) is on, and that the main Notification emails switch is on too.

Why can't I find a switch for a delivery problem alert?

Some CoreHue alerts, like an email that couldn't be delivered, only appear in your in-app notifications list. There's no email version to switch.
