Saving your signature
Save your signature once and CoreHue can sign contracts on your behalf, at the exact moment your client signs. That's what lets someone book a session at midnight and walk away with a fully signed contract, without waiting for you.
Set up your signature
- Go to Settings → Business and scroll to Contract signature.
- Choose Edit signature.
- Pick Draw and sign with your mouse, trackpad or finger, or pick Type and type your name to have it written out in a signature style. Clear wipes the pad if you want another go.
- Save your changes.
The name your signature sits under is built from your own name and your business name, and you'll see it above the signing pad. To change how it reads, update your name in your profile or your business name in business details.
Where your saved signature is used
On booking services, always. A contract attached to a booking service is signed as part of booking, and your saved signature completes it straight away. A service can't take a contract until you've saved a signature. Until then it shows Signature needed. See Adding a contract and questionnaire to booking.
In proposals, if you choose. In the contract builder inside a proposal, set Your signature to Sign manually (the default, so you can review first) or Use saved signature. The proposal editor won't let you send a proposal set to use a signature you haven't saved yet. See Adding a contract and payment schedule to a proposal.
Not on contracts you send yourself. Those wait for you to counter-sign, or you can pre-sign them by hand.
Is automatic signing safe?
It isn't the app signing things behind your back. You wrote the contract, attached it to the service or proposal, and turned it on. Adding your signature when a client accepts those exact terms is you agreeing in advance, the same way a shop's terms of sale bind the shop.
If you'd rather look over every contract before it's final, keep proposals on Sign manually and use inquiry services instead of direct booking, then send contracts yourself.
Changing your signature
Go back to Settings → Business → Contract signature, choose Edit signature, and draw or type a new one. Contracts that are already completed keep the signature they were signed with. A signed document shouldn't change afterwards, and it won't.
What your client sees
When your saved signature completes a contract, your client's copy shows both signatures in the Signatures section and reads Completed. They can open the contract and download the PDF straight away, with no waiting on you.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to save a signature to use contracts?
Only for some contracts. You need a saved signature for contracts on booking services, and for proposals set to Use saved signature. Contracts you send yourself can be counter-signed by hand each time.
Can I upload an image of my handwritten signature?
No. You can't upload an image of your signature. In Settings → Business → Contract signature you can draw it or type it. Drawing with a finger on a phone or tablet usually gives the most natural result.
Does my client get an email when my saved signature completes their contract?
No. When your saved signature completes a contract, no "Contract fully signed" email goes out. Your client sees the completed contract on screen as they sign, and can download the PDF there.
Will changing my signature affect contracts that are out for signing?
Contracts already completed never change their signature. Contracts on booking services and proposals that complete after the change use your new signature.
