# I can't open my gallery

> Gallery link not working? What each message means, from expired galleries to wrong passwords, and quick fixes to try before asking your photographer.

If your gallery won't open, find the message you see below. You may need the correct link or password, or your photographer may need to make the gallery available again.

## "This page isn't available"

This usually means one of these:

- **Part of the link is missing.** Links often break across two lines in emails and texts. Tap the **View gallery** button in your photographer's email rather than copying the address, or make sure you've copied the whole thing.
- **It's an old link.** If your photographer changed the gallery's address, or their own web address, older links stop working.
- **The gallery is offline.** Your photographer may have taken it down for now, or not put it online yet.

In every case, the fix is the same: ask your photographer to send the link again. It takes them a few seconds.

## "This gallery has expired"

Your photographer set the gallery to come down on a certain date, and that date has passed. The message asks you to contact them for access. They can put it back online if you still need it, and nothing has been lost.

When it's back up, download what you'd like to keep. See [Downloading your photos](/docs/for-clients/downloading-your-photos).

## "Invalid password. Please try again."

- **Copy and paste the password** from your photographer's message instead of typing it, and check for extra spaces.
- **Check you're using the right password.** If you were asked to choose **Client access** or **Guest access**, each one has its own password. Your private client password only works with **Client access**. Tap the back arrow to switch.
- **Ask your photographer** if you're still stuck. There's no reset link, but they can send it again.

## "Too many attempts"

After several wrong passwords, the gallery pauses for a while, and the message tells you how long to wait (up to about 15 minutes). Wait until then, and have one person try once, carefully.

## "This gallery is unavailable"

The gallery couldn't load. Check the link is complete and try again in a moment. If it keeps happening, let your photographer know, as they may need to sort something out on their side.

## The gallery opens but photos are missing

- **You came in as a guest.** If you're the client, open the link in a private or incognito window and choose **Client access** with your client password. Some sections of the gallery may be kept just for you.
- **Your photographer is still adding photos,** or has held a section back for now.
- **Something is still loading.** On a slow connection, give it a moment or scroll down a little.

## Still stuck?

Try these, then contact your photographer:

1. Open the link in a different browser, or in a private window.
2. Try on another device, like a laptop instead of your phone.
3. Tell your photographer exactly what the screen says. The wording tells them straight away what's going on.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I reset the gallery password myself?

No. The password belongs to the gallery, so only your photographer can tell you it or change it.

### My link worked last week. Why not now?

The gallery has most likely reached its expiry date, or your photographer has updated the link. Ask them to check and resend it.

### Do I need an app or account to open the gallery?

No. Galleries open in any web browser with no sign-up. If you're asked for anything, it's only a password or your email.

### I can see the gallery but can't download. Is that the same problem?

That's a different one. See [Downloading your photos](/docs/for-clients/downloading-your-photos). If there are no download buttons at all, your photographer hasn't turned downloads on yet.
