Paying your invoice
Open the link your photographer sent and your invoice is right there, with what's due and when. You can pay by card or digital wallet, or by bank transfer if your photographer offers it. No account needed.
Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay
- Tap the pay button. It shows the amount, like Pay USD 500.00.
- If your photographer accepts more than one way to pay, choose Card or digital wallet ("Via Stripe · Apple Pay and Google Pay where available"), then tap the pay button.
- Enter your card details on the secure checkout page, or use Apple Pay or Google Pay if your device offers them.
- You're brought back to the invoice, which shows Confirming your payment and then Payment received.
If you see Your payment is still being processed, it's going through. Please don't pay again. Tap Check again in a moment.
If you close the checkout without paying, nothing is charged and the invoice stays as it was. If your card is declined, that's between the checkout and your bank, so trying another card usually sorts it.
Pay a deposit now and the rest later
If your photographer has split the invoice into payments, you'll see each one listed with its date and amount, marked Paid, Next payment, Upcoming or Overdue.
The pay button asks for the payment that's due now: Pay deposit, Pay installment or Pay balance. If you'd rather clear the lot, choose Pay in full.
Use the same link for every payment. It always shows what's still outstanding, so it's worth bookmarking.
Pay by bank transfer or another method
- Tap the pay button and choose your photographer's bank transfer (or other) option.
- Follow their instructions. If the invoice has a Bank transfer section, it lists the bank details and a Reference.
- Make the payment from your bank, using that reference so your photographer can match it.
- If asked, attach proof under Add proof of payment: an image or PDF, up to 5MB. You can add a note too, under Note (optional).
- Tap I've made this payment.
The invoice then shows Awaiting confirmation while your photographer checks the money has arrived. There's nothing more to do, and the pay buttons are hidden until they've reviewed it. Bank transfers can take a day or two, so please don't pay twice.
Once your photographer confirms it, you'll get a receipt by email.
If your payment wasn't confirmed
The invoice shows Payment not confirmed, with your photographer's reason if they gave one, and you'll get an email about it too. Usually it means the money hasn't arrived yet or the amount didn't match. Read the reason, then submit your proof again or pay from the same page.
Receipts and copies
- Receipt: each payment on the invoice has a Receipt button to download it.
- Invoice PDF: use Download PDF to save a copy of the invoice itself.
If you paid by bank transfer, your receipt is also emailed to you when your photographer confirms the payment.
If there's no way to pay
There are a few possible reasons, none of them your fault:
- The invoice is already paid or has been cancelled.
- It's for a booking or proposal that needs something else first, like a signed contract.
- Your photographer hasn't finished setting up online payments, or sent the invoice as a record only.
Your photographer will know which, so just ask them.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to pay by card here?
Yes. Card payments are handled by Stripe's secure checkout, and your photographer never sees your card number.
Can I pay a different amount from the one shown?
No. The page asks for the payment that's due, or the full balance. If you'd like a different arrangement, talk to your photographer.
I've made a bank transfer but forgot to tap I've made this payment. What now?
Open the invoice and tap I've made this payment now, with your proof if asked. Or let your photographer know directly.
Something on the invoice looks wrong. Should I still pay?
Check with your photographer first. They can update the invoice before you pay, which is much easier than sorting it out afterwards.
