Share your gallery, a photo or a video using the sharing options your photographer has turned on. Anyone you share with still needs the gallery password or download PIN if one is required.

If you don't see any share buttons, your photographer has turned sharing off for this gallery. You can still copy the gallery's address from your browser and send it to people yourself.

## Share the whole gallery

1. Tap **Share gallery** in the row of buttons at the top of the gallery. On a phone it may be behind the **⋯** button.
2. Copy the link, or tap X, Facebook, Pinterest, WhatsApp or Email to share it there.

## Share one photo or video

Every photo and video has its own link, so you can send someone straight to your favorite shot.

1. Open the photo or video.
2. Tap the share icon (**Share video** on a video).
3. Copy the link or pick where to share it.

## What the people you share with will need

Whoever opens your link sees the same gallery entrance you did:

- **If the gallery has a password,** they'll need it too. Send it along with the link.
- **If you were offered Client access and Guest access,** tell them to choose **Guest access**. **Client access** and your client password are just for you, so keep that password to yourself.
- **If the gallery asks for an email,** they'll enter their own.

Guests may not see everything you can. Your photographer can keep some sections of the gallery just for you, and if they allow it, you can hide individual photos from guests with the eye icon. See [Choosing your favorite photos](/docs/for-clients/choosing-your-favorites).

## Before you post publicly

Sharing on Facebook or Pinterest puts the link in front of people you may not know. If the gallery has no password, anyone who clicks can look through it. If you're not sure, share a single favorite photo rather than the whole gallery, or check with your photographer first.

It's also kind to credit your photographer when you post. Most photographers love being tagged.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can my family download photos too?

That depends on your photographer's settings. If downloads need a PIN, your family will need it too, so it's up to you whether to share it.

### Will the people I share with see my favorites?

No. Your favorites lists are linked to your email and aren't shown to other visitors.

### Can I stop someone seeing the gallery after I've shared it?

Not yourself. If you need to, ask your photographer. They can change the gallery password.

### Why can't my friend see some of the photos?

Your photographer may have kept some sections of the gallery for you only, or you may have hidden some photos from guests. That's on purpose, not a fault.
