How client galleries work
Create a gallery to deliver photos, let clients choose favorites and control downloads. Each gallery has its own link and access settings. On Plus and Pro, you can include videos alongside your photos.
What your client gets
- A full-screen cover with your image, the gallery name and the event date, in the design you picked.
- Chapters like Getting ready, Ceremony and Reception, so a 600-photo wedding feels like a story instead of an endless scroll.
- A star on every photo for building favorites and sending them back to you with notes.
- Downloads at the sizes you allow, for the whole gallery or a single photo.
- Videos that stream smoothly at the right quality for each screen (Plus and Pro).
- Privacy when they want it: a gallery password, a private client password, or chapters only they can see.
Your client doesn't create an account or install an app. They open the link and they're in.
The gallery editor
Open any gallery from Galleries in the sidebar and you'll find four tabs:
| Tab | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Chapters | Upload photos and videos, add chapters, reorder, move, copy and delete |
| Layout | Choose the cover and design the gallery, with a live preview |
| Settings | Details, Sharing, Access, Downloads, Collections and Experience |
| Activity | See downloads, favorites, registered emails and photos your client hid |
Across the top sit the gallery name, its status, Preview, and Publish (which becomes Share once the gallery is live). The ⋯ menu holds Email history and Delete gallery.
Gallery statuses: draft, published and unlisted
Every new gallery starts as a Draft that only you can see, so you can upload and design at your own pace. Publish it when it's ready and the link starts working. Later you can unlist it to take it offline without deleting a thing. Draft, published and unlisted galleries explains each one.
The quickest path to a delivered gallery
- Go to Galleries and choose New gallery. Give it a name and, if you like, the event date. See Creating a gallery.
- Drop your photos into the Featured chapter, or add a few chapters first. See Uploading photos and Organizing photos into chapters.
- Open Layout and pick a cover layout, typography and colors. See Customizing your gallery's design.
- Check Settings → Downloads and Settings → Access so the gallery behaves the way you want. See Choosing your download settings and Who can see your gallery.
- Choose Publish, then send it from the email composer that opens. See Publishing a gallery.
Adding video? Delivering video in your galleries covers it.
Galleries on each plan
Galleries are included on every plan. What changes is how much you can store and what your client can download.
| Free | Plus | Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photo storage | 3.5 GB | 150 GB | 1 TB |
| Gallery video | Not included | 1 hour, up to HD | 4 hours, up to 4K |
| Original-size client downloads | No, web sizes only | Yes | Yes |
| RAW photo uploads | No | No | Yes |
Photo storage and video time are counted separately. How storage works for photos and videos has the details, and Choosing between Free, Plus and Pro compares everything else.
Frequently asked questions
Do my clients need an account to see their gallery?
No. Your clients don't need a CoreHue account to see their gallery. They open the link you send, and if you've added a password, they type it once and the gallery remembers them on that device for 7 days.
Is there a limit on how many galleries I can make?
No. Every CoreHue plan lets you create as many galleries as you like. What your plan limits is photo storage (3.5 GB on Free, 150 GB on Plus, 1 TB on Pro), so very old galleries are worth tidying up now and then.
Can I put videos in a gallery?
Yes, on the Plus and Pro plans. Gallery videos upload through the same button as photos and appear above the photos in their chapter. Start with Delivering video in your galleries.
Can I add watermarks to my photos?
No. CoreHue doesn't add watermarks to gallery photos. You can still keep a gallery private with passwords, limit downloads to web sizes, or turn downloads off. See Protecting your photos online.
