What CoreHue doesn't do (yet)
This page lists features that aren't available in CoreHue and suggests ways to handle those tasks. Check it before setting up a workflow that depends on imports, team access, print sales or other tools listed below.

Watermarks
CoreHue can't stamp your logo across gallery photos.
What to do instead: add watermarks in Lightroom or Capture One when you export, if you need them. For most client deliveries, the download controls protect you better than a watermark does. Offer only a web size, keep the download PIN on, and add a gallery password. See Protecting your photos online.
Print sales and a store
There's no print store, lab integration or shopping cart, so clients can't buy prints or albums from a gallery.
What to do instead: let your client pick their prints with a Print order selection request, then send them an invoice and order from your own lab. If print sales are a big part of your income, keep a dedicated print tool alongside CoreHue for that part.
A phone app
There's no app in the App Store or Google Play, and no push notifications.
What to do instead: CoreHue works in your phone's browser, and you can add it to your home screen for one-tap access. Notifications arrive by email. See Using CoreHue on your phone.
A Lightroom plugin
You can't publish straight from Lightroom or another editor into a gallery.
What to do instead: export JPEGs to a folder, then drag the folder into your gallery. When a client sends favorites, copy the filenames from the gallery's Activity tab and paste them into Lightroom's filter to find the originals. See Reviewing your client's favorites.
A limit on all favorites
There's no overall cap on how many photos a client can star across a gallery.
What to do instead: send a selection request with a maximum, like 40 for an album. That list stops taking photos once it's full, and your client sees their progress (for example "12 of 40 photos") as they choose.
Comments on photos
There's no comment thread on photos as visitors browse a gallery.
What to do instead: turn on Collection notes. Your client can then add a note to a collection, and to individual photos inside it, like "please brighten this one", before they send it to you. See Collection settings for client favorites.
Team members and assistants
There's one login per account. You can't add a second shooter, assistant or editor with their own access or permissions.
What to do instead: have second shooters send their files to you, and deliver from your account.
Several brands in one account
Each CoreHue account has one business name, one logo and one look for your client pages.
What to do instead: if you run two separate brands, like weddings under one name and boudoir under another, each brand needs its own CoreHue account, with its own email address and plan.
Expense tracking and bookkeeping
CoreHue tracks the money that moves through it, but not your expenses.
What to do instead: use the finance report for income and pair it with your accounting software for expenses and tax.
Importing or merging contacts
You can't bring in contacts from a spreadsheet, and you can't merge two contacts into one.
What to do instead: add the clients you're actively working with by hand, and let everyone else arrive as they inquire, book or fill in a contact form. If you end up with a duplicate, archive the extra one. See Dealing with duplicate contacts.
Clients rescheduling or cancelling themselves
Clients can't move or cancel a booking on their own.
What to do instead: ask clients to reply to their confirmation email or message you, then reschedule the booking yourself. You stay in control of your calendar and any deposit.
Calendars other than Google
Google Calendar is the only calendar CoreHue connects to. Outlook and iCloud calendars aren't supported.
What to do instead: if your personal plans live in another calendar, block those times yourself under Bookings → Settings → Availability.
A website builder
CoreHue doesn't build your portfolio website.
What to do instead: link your booking page and contact form from the website you already have, and put them in your Instagram bio. On Plus and Pro, your galleries and booking page can sit on your own domain. See Sharing your booking page.
Your own automations
There's no workflow builder for chaining your own triggers and actions.
What to do instead: lean on what runs by itself. Automatic reminders chase invoices, documents and upcoming sessions. Questionnaires can send themselves around a booking. Contracts and deposits are collected during booking, and an accepted proposal creates the contract, invoice and booking for you.
Gallery expiry reminders
CoreHue doesn't email your client before a gallery's expiry date.
What to do instead: put the expiry date in your gallery email, and send a quick reminder yourself a week before it runs out. For ready-made wording, open Templates → Emails, choose Add from CoreHue and add the Gallery expiring soon template.
Other languages
CoreHue and the pages your clients see are in English only for now.
What to do instead: anything you write yourself, like gallery emails, service descriptions, contracts and questionnaires, can be in whatever language your clients speak.
Frequently asked questions
Will CoreHue add watermarks or a print store?
We can't promise dates, but we read every request. If one of these would make a difference to your business, let us know.
Can I use CoreHue alongside another tool?
Yes. Plenty of photographers keep a print lab, a website builder or their accounting software alongside CoreHue and use CoreHue for everything from inquiry to delivery.
Is CoreHue right for a studio with several photographers?
CoreHue is built for one login per account today. A studio with several photographers can run on it if one person handles the admin and delivery, but each photographer can't have their own login.
Can my clients log in to a portal?
No. CoreHue has no client portal or client login. Every gallery, document and invoice opens from its own link, and once a booking exists your client's booking page gathers the details in one place.
