# Your home screen

> What each part of your CoreHue home screen shows: this week's bookings, what needs your attention, your getting started checklist and quick actions.

Home is the first thing you see when you sign in. It's built to answer two questions in a few seconds: what's happening this week, and what's waiting on you. Everything on it comes from your own work, so a quiet section just means there's nothing to show yet.

## The greeting and pulse line

At the top, CoreHue says good morning, afternoon or evening with your first name. Underneath is one short line that picks whatever matters most right now, such as "3 bookings this week.", "$1,200 received in the last 7 days." or "2 new inquiries this week." On a quiet week it keeps out of your way.

## Billing notices

When something about your subscription needs you, a notice appears under the greeting with the one button that fixes it. For example, in the last few days of a trial with no card added, you'll see "Your trial ends in 3 days" with **Add payment method**. A failed renewal shows how long your access continues and how to update your card. See [When a subscription payment fails](/docs/plans-and-billing/when-a-payment-fails).

## Getting started

New accounts get a **Getting started** card based on what you chose to do first during setup. It shows a title, a progress bar and the steps:

| If you chose | The steps |
| --- | --- |
| **Deliver photos to a client** | Create a client gallery, Upload photos, Share the gallery |
| **Let clients inquire or book** | Create and publish a service, Turn on your booking page, Share your booking page |
| **Send a proposal to a client** | Create a proposal, Add pricing, Send the proposal |
| **Send an invoice to a client** | Set your default currency, Choose how clients can pay, Create an invoice, Send the invoice |

Each step takes you to the right screen, and finished steps show **Done**. Click the card's header to fold it away. Once every step is done, it goes for good.

## This week

A strip of the next seven days, starting today. Pick a day to see what's booked on it, and open any booking from there. Only confirmed bookings show here, so pending ones won't appear until they confirm.

If the week is empty, CoreHue says so plainly. **View calendar** opens the full [calendar](/docs/managing-bookings/using-the-calendar) for anything further out.

## Needs attention

The section worth reading first. These are things that have stalled and need you specifically:

| What you'll see | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **N overdue invoices** | Invoices past their due date and still unpaid |
| **N contracts waiting on you** | Your client has signed and the contract needs your counter-signature |
| **N payments awaiting review** | A client says they've paid and uploaded proof, ready for you to confirm or reject |
| **N inquiries awaiting a response** | Someone asked about working with you and hasn't heard back yet |

Each row takes you straight to the list. If the section isn't there at all, nothing needs you. That's the goal.

Inquiries waiting for a reply are usually the most valuable thing on this list. A quick answer often wins the booking.

## Quick actions

Shortcuts to what you do most: **New booking**, **New invoice**, **New gallery** and **New proposal**.

Beside the heading, **Share booking page** opens your public booking link with a copy button and **Open booking page**. If your page isn't ready yet, the label adds a short status:

- **Off**: your booking page is switched off. CoreHue offers to open your booking page settings.
- **No services**: the page is on, but there's nothing published to book. CoreHue offers to create a service.

## What Home isn't

Home is about what needs doing now. For money over a longer period, use the [finance report](/docs/payments/finance-report). For a client's full history, open their [contact page](/docs/contacts/the-contact-page).

## Frequently asked questions

### Why isn't a booking showing in This week?

This week only lists confirmed bookings. A booking that's still waiting for a payment, a signature or your approval stays off the list until it confirms. See [Why is a booking pending?](/docs/managing-bookings/why-a-booking-is-pending)

### How do I get rid of the Getting started card?

Finish its steps and it disappears. Until then, click its header to fold it up out of the way.

### Can I customize what's on my home screen?

Not at the moment. Home shows the same sections for everyone, filled with your own work.

### What does "contracts waiting on you" mean?

Your client has signed and the contract is waiting for your counter-signature before it's complete. See [Counter-signing and completing a contract](/docs/contracts/counter-signing).
