Your public links and web address
Almost everything you send a client is a web page with its own address. CoreHue builds those addresses for you, but it helps to know what they look like, so you recognize one when a client pastes it back asking why it won't open.
Your web address
Every public link starts with the CoreHue URL you picked during setup:
yourname.corehue.co
On Plus and Pro you can connect your own domain, like photos.yourstudio.com, and every link below works on it too. Your corehue.co address keeps working as a backup either way. See Connecting a custom domain.
The links CoreHue creates
| What it is | What the address looks like |
|---|---|
| Your booking page | yourname.corehue.co/services |
| One service | yourname.corehue.co/services/family-portraits |
| A client's booking page | yourname.corehue.co/booking/a1b2c3 |
| An inquiry receipt | yourname.corehue.co/inquiry/a1b2c3 |
| A gallery | yourname.corehue.co/smith-wedding |
| A chapter in a gallery | yourname.corehue.co/smith-wedding/ceremony |
| A single photo | yourname.corehue.co/smith-wedding/p/a1b2c3 |
| A single video | yourname.corehue.co/smith-wedding/v/a1b2c3 |
| A shared collection | yourname.corehue.co/smith-wedding/f/a1b2c3 |
| A gallery download page | yourname.corehue.co/smith-wedding/download |
| An invoice | yourname.corehue.co/i/a1b2c3 |
| A proposal | yourname.corehue.co/proposal/a1b2c3 |
| A contract | yourname.corehue.co/contract/a1b2c3 |
| A questionnaire | yourname.corehue.co/q/a1b2c3 |
| A contact form | yourname.corehue.co/contact-form/a1b2c3 |
Galleries and services use a readable name you can edit. Everything else uses a short random code, so nobody can guess someone else's invoice by changing a number.
Older links that start with /book or /intake-form/ still work and forward to the new addresses, so anything you've already posted keeps working.
There isn't a homepage at the bare yourname.corehue.co address. To send people somewhere general, use your booking page at /services, or your own website.
Who can open what
Anyone with the link. Booking pages, invoices, proposals, contracts and questionnaires open for whoever has the link. Their addresses are long and random, which keeps them private in practice.
Galleries can have extra locks. A gallery password for everyone, a private client password, email registration and a download PIN. See Who can see your gallery.
Why a link might not work
The usual reasons:
- The gallery is unlisted or its expiry date passed. An expired gallery tells visitors to contact you for access. See Setting a gallery expiry date.
- It was never published. Draft galleries, services and contact forms aren't reachable.
- The gallery is restricted because your account is over its storage limit. Clients see "This page isn't available".
- Your booking page is off, or the service is unpublished. Service links stop working until both are live.
- The address changed. Editing a gallery's URL, or your CoreHue URL, breaks the old link.
For a step-by-step fix, see My client can't open their gallery.
Changing your CoreHue URL
You can change your CoreHue URL under Settings → Profile. It changes the start of every link at once, so every gallery, invoice and booking link you've already sent stops working. If you'd like a more professional address, connecting a custom domain is usually the better move because your corehue.co links keep working. See Changing your CoreHue URL.
Sharing links well
Send from CoreHue where you can. Galleries, invoices, proposals, contracts and questionnaires each have a send screen that emails a proper message with the link, and keeps a record that you sent it.
Copy the link when you'd rather send it yourself, for example in WhatsApp. Each of those has a Share option with a copy button.
Send the codes with the link. Gallery passwords and download PINs are separate from the link. The gallery email can include them for you.
Test it first. Open the link in a private or incognito window. You'll see exactly what your client sees, signed out.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my own domain for galleries and booking?
Yes, on Plus and Pro. Every client-facing page works on it, and your corehue.co address stays as a backup.
If I rename a gallery, does the link change?
Renaming the title doesn't. Changing the Gallery URL under the gallery's sharing settings does, and the old link stops working. See Changing a gallery's web address.
Is my client's invoice link private?
The address is long and random, so it can't be guessed. Anyone your client forwards it to can open it, so treat it like a private email.
What happens to my custom domain if I move to Free?
It's disconnected straight away, so links that use your own domain stop working while your corehue.co links carry on. Upgrade and choose Reconnect domain to bring it back.
