Using the booking calendar
Bookings → Calendar shows confirmed and completed bookings by month. Open a day to review its bookings or add a new one. Pending bookings don't appear here, even when they reserve time.
Getting around
- Click the month name at the top to jump to any month and year.
- Use the arrows beside it to step one month at a time.
- Click Today to come back to the current month.
On a phone, swipe left and right to change month.
What appears on the calendar
- Confirmed bookings, with your client's name. Completed bookings stay too, since they did happen. In the Shared availability view, bookings for a service on its own schedule only show if that service blocks shared availability (more below).
- Your Google Calendar events, if you've connected Google Calendar, so you see your whole day and not just your CoreHue work.
- Your availability in the background. Days you don't work and dates you've blocked out look different from days you're open.
Looking at a single day
Click any day to open its agenda. It lists the Bookings and Google Calendar events for that date, and any availability changes you've made for it. A day with nothing on it says Nothing scheduled.
The bottom of the agenda shows your bookable hours for that day, then an Add booking button that starts a new booking with the date already filled in.
Click a booking in the agenda or on the grid to see a quick summary, then Open booking for the full page.
What doesn't appear
| Not on the calendar | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| Inquiries | Bookings → Inquiries. An inquiry doesn't hold time. See Managing inquiries |
| Pending bookings | All bookings on the Pending filter. A booking reaches the calendar once it's confirmed. See Why is a booking pending? |
| Cancelled and expired bookings | All bookings, on the Cancelled or Expired filter |
Switching between schedules
If any of your services runs on its own schedule, a selector appears at the top right. It opens on Shared availability, and each of those services has its own entry. A service that isn't published shows (Inactive) after its name.
Pick a service to see the calendar through that service's hours. Bookings for a service with its own schedule only show in the Shared availability view when that service has Block shared availability on. Otherwise you'll find them in that service's own view. See Giving a service its own schedule.
The calendar isn't how you block time
This trips people up. The calendar shows what's booked. Your availability decides when clients can book. Adding a booking isn't the way to take a day off.
To make yourself unavailable, add the date under your availability settings (see Setting your availability), or put the event in Google Calendar with Block busy times turned on.
Your Home screen shows this week's bookings day by day, plus anything that needs your attention. See Your home screen.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn't a new booking on my calendar?
A new booking that isn't on your calendar is probably still pending, waiting on payment, a signature or your confirmation. The calendar only shows confirmed and completed bookings. Open it from All bookings to see what it needs.
Can my clients see my calendar?
No. The calendar is only for you. Clients see open times on your booking page, worked out from your availability and existing bookings.
Do my Google Calendar events block bookings?
Only if you turn on Block busy times for the connected calendar. Without it, Google events show on your CoreHue calendar for reference but don't stop anyone booking.
Can I drag a booking to a new date on the calendar?
No. Open the booking and use Reschedule booking instead. See Rescheduling a booking.
