Connecting Google Calendar
Connecting Google Calendar to CoreHue does three things: confirmed bookings land in the Google calendar you choose, times already busy in that calendar can stay off your booking page, and online sessions can get a Google Meet link automatically.
Connecting your Google account
- Go to Bookings → Settings → Integrations.
- On the Google card, choose Connect Google Calendar.
- Sign in to Google and allow access.
- Back in CoreHue, pick a calendar under Calendar. "Confirmed bookings are added to this calendar."
- If you see Use this calendar, choose it to finish setup.
Pick the calendar you actually keep your commitments in. The card shows Connected once everything's working.
Bookings in your calendar
Confirmed bookings are added to the calendar you chose, and they update when you reschedule or cancel. They show up on your phone next to everything else, with nothing to copy across.
It works the other way too: your Google events appear on the CoreHue calendar alongside your bookings, so you can see your whole day in one view. See Using the booking calendar.
If something looks out of date, choose Sync now on the card.
Blocking busy times
Block busy times, "Prevent clients from booking times marked as busy on this calendar.", is on once you're connected and a calendar is chosen.
This is the part that prevents double bookings. Without it, someone could book you at 2pm on the day of your dentist appointment. Only events marked busy block anything. Events marked free in Google don't hide any times.
You can switch it off if you'd rather your booking page ignored your calendar.
A service running on its own schedule has a separate switch, Avoid Google Calendar conflicts, which starts off. Turn it on for that service if your Google events should block it too. See Giving a service its own schedule.
Google Meet links
With Google connected, a direct booking service set to Virtual or In person or virtual can choose Google Meet under Virtual setup. Each booking then gets its own Meet link, created when the booking confirms. Until Google is connected, that option is greyed out and reads "Connect Google Calendar first."
The link goes on the calendar event and on your client's booking page. See In-person and online sessions.
What your client sees
Your client never sees your calendar or your events. They only see fewer available times on the days you're busy. For a Google Meet session, a Join Google Meet link appears on their booking page once the booking is confirmed.
If the card says Setup needed or Reconnect
Setup needed means you're connected but haven't chosen a calendar yet. Pick one under Calendar and choose Use this calendar.
Reconnect means Google has expired CoreHue's access. Choose Reconnect Google Calendar and sign in again.
Disconnecting
Choose Disconnect on the card and confirm. "Bookings will stop syncing. Existing events stay on your calendar." Busy times stop blocking your booking page and new Google Meet links can't be created.
Frequently asked questions
Will clients see my personal events?
No. Busy events only hide times from your booking page. Event names and details are never shown to clients.
Why can a client still book over an event in my calendar?
Check the event is marked busy rather than free, that it's on the calendar you picked, and that Block busy times is on. For services with their own schedule, also turn on Avoid Google Calendar conflicts on the service.
Can I connect more than one Google calendar?
You choose one calendar for CoreHue to add bookings to and check for busy times.
Do I need Google Calendar to use Google Meet links?
Yes. Meet links are created through your Google connection, so connect the Google card first.
