# What your client sees when they book

> Walk through CoreHue online booking from your client's side: choosing a service, the 30-minute hold, signing, paying a deposit and their booking page.

Knowing what your client goes through makes it easier to set up your services and answer their questions. This is the whole journey, from opening your link to landing on their booking page, with no account or app needed on their side.

## Choosing a service

Your client opens your booking page and sees your headline, welcome message and a card for each published service: cover image, name, length, price and the start of the description. With four or more services across different modes, filter chips help them narrow it down.

Tapping a service takes them straight into booking it. There's no separate details page in between.

## Picking a time

For a **direct booking**, they see a calendar under **Select a date and time** with only the times you're free. If you offer different lengths, a **Duration** menu sits above it. Any add-ons appear below the times, each with a minus and plus counter, and the total updates as they go.

For a **mini session**, they see a row of your dates and the slots for the date they pick. Slots that seat more than one show how many places are left. Full ones read **Full**.

Times are shown in your timezone, labelled with the offset, like "(GMT+1)".

## The 30-minute hold

When they pick a time and continue, they see **We'll hold this time for you** (or **this slot** for minis). Choosing **Continue** reserves it for 30 minutes, with a **Slot held** timer in the corner. Nobody else can take it while they finish.

If the timer runs out, **Your hold has expired** asks them to choose again. Picking a different time releases the first one straight away.

## The steps

A progress bar shows where they are. Depending on what you've switched on, they'll go through:

| Step | What happens |
| --- | --- |
| **Details** | Name, email and any fields you've asked for, like phone or address |
| **Questions** | Your questionnaire |
| **Contract** | Read the agreement and sign by drawing or typing |
| **Review** | Everything in one place, with what's due now |

Steps you haven't turned on are skipped. If you change the service while they're mid-booking, they keep their held time and finish on the version they started with. Reloading the page starts them again on the updated service.

## Paying

If the service takes payment, the **Review** step button reads **Pay deposit** or **Full payment** with the amount. With a deposit, a small menu lets them pay in full instead.

It opens a panel headed **Pay** and the amount:

- **Card or digital wallet**, "Via Stripe · Apple Pay and Google Pay where available", opens a secure checkout.
- **A manual method**, like bank transfer, shows your instructions with a place to add proof (an image or PDF up to 5MB) and a note. The button reads **I've made this payment**.

The booking is created when they choose a method and go through to pay. If the service takes no payment, there's no review step: the last button reads **Confirm booking**.

## Their booking page

Every client finishes on their own booking page. It's the one link with everything on it:

- Whether they're confirmed or still waiting on something
- The date, time and location, or a **Join** link for online sessions
- **Add to Google Calendar** and **Download .ics** for other calendars
- Their contract and questionnaire
- Payments, with any balance left to pay
- Your cancellation policy

They also get an email: a confirmation if everything's done, or a note with a **Complete your booking** button if something's outstanding.

| What the page says | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **Your booking is confirmed** | All done |
| **Complete your booking** | Something is still needed, with a deadline |
| **Awaiting confirmation** | They've reported a manual payment and you need to confirm it |
| **Your booking is being reviewed** | You'll let them know once it's confirmed |
| **This booking has expired** | The deadline passed and the time was released |

## Sending an inquiry

For an **inquiry service**, there's less to do. They fill in **Contact Info**, answer your questions if you've added any, and choose **Send inquiry**. They land on **Inquiry received**, showing their name, the service and the date sent, and get your auto-reply by email. Nothing is reserved.

## Changing or cancelling

Clients can't reschedule or cancel from their booking page. They contact you, and you make the change from the booking. See [Rescheduling a booking](/docs/managing-bookings/rescheduling-a-booking) and [Cancelling a booking](/docs/managing-bookings/cancelling-a-booking).

Want to share a version of this with your clients? [Booking a session](/docs/for-clients/booking-a-session) is written for them.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do clients need to create an account?

No. Clients don't need a CoreHue account to book. They book from your link and come back to their booking page from the link in their confirmation email.

### Can clients book on their phone?

Yes. The booking page and every step work in a phone browser, including Apple Pay and Google Pay at checkout where available.

### What if my client closes the page halfway through?

Nothing is booked until they choose a payment method and go through to pay, or choose **Confirm booking**. Their held time is released when the 30 minutes run out.

### How do I test it myself?

Open your booking page in a private or incognito window and book a service. You'll see exactly what your client sees. It creates a real booking and contact, so cancel the booking afterwards.
