# Your payments list

> Use the Payments page in CoreHue to see every payment clients have made, filter by period or channel, track what's outstanding, and review payment claims.

Open **Payments** to see recorded payments and check whether a client has paid. You can filter the list by period, status and payment channel.

Open it from **Payments → Payments** in the sidebar.

## The figures at the top

| Figure | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| **Received less refunds** | Everything you've ever received through CoreHue, with refunds taken off |
| **This month, less refunds** | What's come in this calendar month, minus any refunds made this month |
| **Outstanding** | The balance still owed across your invoices |

These three figures don't change with the filters below. The filters narrow the list.

**Outstanding** is the one worth a regular look. It's money you've earned and haven't been paid yet, and it's often bigger than you'd guess. Your [invoices list](/docs/invoices/the-invoices-list) shows which invoices make it up.

## The list

One row per payment, with the **Date** it was received, its **Receipt** number, the **Invoice** it belongs to, the **Method**, the **Contact** and the **Amount**.

A refunded payment shows its amount struck through with a **Refunded** or **Partially refunded** badge. A card refund that Stripe is still working on shows **Refund processing**.

Open a row to see that payment's receipt, its fee breakdown for card payments, and actions like **Send receipt** and refunds. See [Payment details and fees](/docs/payments/payment-details-and-fees).

## Filtering

- **Search** by contact name or invoice number.
- **Currency**, if you work in more than one. Figures are never added across currencies, so you always see one at a time.
- **Period**: All time, This week, This month, Last month, This quarter, This year, Last year, or Custom with your own **From** and **To** dates. It opens on This year.
- **Payment channel**: Card (Stripe), Bank (Stripe), Cash, Check, Bank Transfer or Other, with **All channels** as the default.

> **Check your channels now and then**
If nearly everything arrives by bank transfer, card payments may not be earning their keep. If most clients use the card link, keeping your Stripe connection healthy matters more than you'd think.

## Payments waiting for your review

The same page also lists payments clients say they've made by a manual method that you haven't confirmed yet. You reach that view from **Needs attention** on your **Home** screen ("N payments awaiting review").

It shows **Awaiting review** and **Amount awaiting confirmation**, then one row per claim with the client's name, the source, when it was submitted and the amount. Open a row to go to the invoice, booking or proposal and confirm or reject it. See [Reviewing payment proof](/docs/payments/reviewing-payment-proof).

They're worth clearing promptly. Each one is a client who thinks they've paid, and sometimes a booking that can't confirm until you act.

## Before your first payment

Until money comes in, the page shows "Track payments as they come in" with a **Create invoice** button. Online payments and payments you record yourself both land here, giving you one history of what clients have paid.

## Payments list or finance report?

Use this page day to day: money in, by the date it arrived, and anything waiting for review. For a fuller picture over a period, including card fees and refunds as separate entries, use the [finance report](/docs/payments/finance-report).

## Frequently asked questions

### Why doesn't a payment I recorded show up?

Check the **Period** filter. The payments list opens on This year and uses the payment date you entered, so a payment dated last year only appears under Last year or All time.

### Are refunds taken off the totals?

Yes. On the payments list, **Received less refunds** and **This month, less refunds** both subtract refunds, so they show what you actually kept.

### Can I see totals across all my currencies at once?

No. The payments list never adds different currencies together, so pick the currency you want to look at with the **Currency** filter.

### Can I export my payments?

No. The payments list has no export or download. Your [finance report](/docs/payments/finance-report) is the place to go through a period's money on screen, for example with your accountant.
