Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your Plus or Pro subscription yourself from Settings → Billing. Nothing changes straight away: you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, and then your account moves to the Free plan. Your galleries, contacts, bookings and documents stay in your account.
Cancelling
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- In the Plan section, choose Cancel subscription.
- Read the confirmation. It tells you the date your plan stays active until, and that your account moves to the Free plan after that.
- Choose Cancel subscription to go ahead, or Keep subscription to back out.
How the last step looks depends on how you pay:
- Billed through Stripe (US dollars): CoreHue opens Stripe's secure page, where you confirm the cancellation.
- Billed through Paystack (Naira): the cancellation happens right inside CoreHue.
Afterwards your plan badge shows Canceling and the Plan section shows the date your plan ends. We also email you to confirm.
Changing your mind
Until your plan ends, you can undo the cancellation from the Plan section on your billing page. The button reads Resume plan if you pay through Stripe, or Keep plan if you pay through Paystack. Your subscription then renews as normal.
Cancelling during your free trial
If you're on a trial and have scheduled a plan to start afterwards, you'll see Cancel renewal instead. It cancels the scheduled charge and leaves the rest of your trial untouched. When the trial ends, your account moves to Free. See How your free trial works.
What happens when your plan ends
Your account moves to the Free plan and we email you ("Your CoreHue Plus plan has ended", or Pro). You can still sign in, your work is still there, and you can subscribe again whenever you like.
Free has smaller limits, so a few things change that day:
- Storage over 3.5 GB: uploads pause and your oldest galleries are hidden from clients until you're back under. If you stay over for 30 days, the files in those galleries are deleted. See When you're over your storage limit.
- Gallery videos are hidden from clients and deleted after 30 days unless you upgrade again.
- Client downloads drop to web sizes.
- Booking services: only your first service stays published.
- Custom domain is disconnected. Your yourname.corehue.co address keeps working.
- Proposals, reminders and client messaging stop, and "Powered by CoreHue" appears on your client pages.
The full list is in What's included on the Free plan.
If clients are still downloading from your galleries, or you have video in them, check Usage on your billing page before your plan ends. Anything over Free's limits is hidden from clients, who just see "This page isn't available" with no reason given. Give them time to download, and keep your own copies of your work.
Frequently asked questions
Do I get a refund when I cancel?
No. When you cancel CoreHue, you keep full use of your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, so there's no partial refund. If something has gone wrong with a charge, contact us.
Will my clients lose access to their galleries?
Only some. When your plan ends, clients lose access to galleries that don't fit in Free's 3.5 GB, starting with the oldest, and to gallery videos. Everything that fits stays online. If you upgrade within 30 days, restricted galleries and videos come back as they were.
Can I cancel and delete my account at the same time?
No. Cancelling moves you to Free and keeps your work. To delete your account entirely, email [email protected] from your account email. See Deleting your CoreHue account.
I cancelled by mistake. What now?
Choose Resume plan (or Keep plan if you pay through Paystack) under Settings → Billing before your plan ends. If it has already ended, upgrade from the Plans page and you're back on your plan straight away.
