To request deletion of your CoreHue account, email **hello@corehue.co** from your account email address. Before you send the request, download the files and records you need to keep.

## Before you delete

Deleting your account removes your work, and your clients' links stop working. Take a few minutes first to:

- **Download anything you want to keep.** Gallery photos, signed contracts and invoice PDFs are worth saving to your own drives.
- **Tell clients who are still using their galleries**, so they can download their photos.
- **Settle anything open.** Unpaid invoices and upcoming bookings won't follow you anywhere once the account is gone.
- **Cancel your subscription** if you're on Plus or Pro, so you aren't charged again. See [Cancelling your subscription](/docs/plans-and-billing/cancelling-your-subscription).

## Asking us to delete your account

1. Email hello@corehue.co **from the email address you sign in to CoreHue with**. That's how we know the request really comes from you.
2. Say that you'd like your account deleted. If you're happy to tell us why, we'd love to know.
3. We'll reply to confirm and let you know when it's done.

If you can't reach that inbox any more, [contact us](/contact) anyway and we'll work out how to verify it's you.

## Consider moving to Free instead

If you might come back, or you just want to stop paying, you don't have to delete anything. Cancel your subscription and your account moves to the Free plan when your paid period ends. It costs nothing, and your contacts, documents and invoices stay right where they are.

Free includes 3.5 GB of gallery storage. If you're using more, your oldest galleries are hidden from clients and their files are deleted after 30 days unless you upgrade or free up space. See [What's included on the Free plan](/docs/plans-and-billing/the-free-plan) and [When you're over your storage limit](/docs/plans-and-billing/over-your-storage-limit).
