What's included on the Free plan
The Free plan lets you deliver galleries, take bookings, send invoices and get paid online without paying anything. It has no time limit. Your account moves to Free when a trial ends without a paid plan, or when a subscription is cancelled or can't be renewed.
For a side-by-side view with Plus and Pro, see CoreHue plans and pricing.
What works the same as on paid plans
- Galleries, with passwords, client access, favorites, collections and downloads
- Your booking page, with one published service
- Contacts and contact forms, as many as you like. Contact form submissions keep arriving
- Invoices and online payments, unlimited, including payment schedules and Stripe card payments
- Document emails. Invoices, proposals you already sent, contracts, questionnaires and booking emails all still go out to clients
- Templates for contracts, questionnaires and emails

Here's what each one looks like in practice.
Gallery storage
You have 3.5 GB for gallery photos and covers. An upload that would take you past it is refused with a Storage full message. If you arrive on Free already using more (after a trial, for example), your oldest galleries are hidden from clients until you're back under the limit. See How storage works and When you're over your storage limit.
Gallery video
Video needs Plus or Pro. The upload button in a gallery reads Add photos rather than Add media, and dropping a video in shows "Video uploads are available on Plus and Pro." Any videos you already uploaded are restricted: hidden from clients, then deleted after 30 days unless you upgrade. See Restricted gallery videos.
Client downloads
Clients can download web sizes, not originals. Original drops out of the download sizes and the largest web size you offer remains. Your setting is kept and comes back when you upgrade. Turning Original on opens Allow original downloads, which explains this. Your own downloads from the dashboard aren't affected. See Download sizes explained.
Booking services
You can have one service published at a time. The Services list shows how many you've published next to Add service, and publishing a second opens Published service limit reached. Unpublish one to publish another. See How many services can I publish?
Contracts and questionnaires
You can send five contracts and five questionnaires. Each document counts once, the first time you send or share it by hand. These never count:
- Resending a document you've already sent
- Contracts inside a proposal
- Contracts attached to a booking service
- Questionnaires a booking sends automatically
The count includes everything you've ever sent, so if you sent five or more on a trial or paid plan, you're already at the limit on Free. The sixth opens Contract limit reached (or Questionnaire limit reached).
Proposals
You can create, edit, duplicate and save proposals. Sending or sharing one opens Send this proposal, and editing one you sent earlier opens Edit this proposal. The editor shows "Create proposals for free. Upgrade to send or share them." Proposals you sent before moving to Free stay live for your clients.
Reminders
The Reminders tab in Settings is hidden and reminder controls disappear from bookings, invoices and documents. Your schedules are kept, but nothing sends. Choosing Send reminder by hand opens the Send reminders upgrade prompt.
Client messages
You can read every conversation, but the reply box is replaced with "Your messages stay here. Upgrade to send and reply." Client replies to your messages bounce, and so do replies you send from your own email app. See Messages on the Free plan.
Custom domain
Custom domains need Plus or Pro. If you had one connected, it's disconnected as soon as your account moves to Free and kept on the Domains tab, ready to reconnect. Your CoreHue address (yourname.corehue.co) keeps working throughout. See Connecting a custom domain.
CoreHue branding
"Powered by CoreHue" appears on your galleries, download pages, client emails, booking pages, contact forms, proposals, contracts, questionnaires, invoices, receipts and PDFs. On Free the switch under Settings → Business stays on. See Removing CoreHue branding.
Currencies and RAW files
New invoices use your default currency. Anything you already sent in another currency stays viewable and payable. RAW files you uploaded on Pro stay in your galleries, but you can't add more.
Upgrading brings it back
Choose Upgrade under Settings → Billing. The Plans page says it plainly: "Everything you've set up comes with you."
- Original downloads, reminders, messaging and proposal sending switch back on.
- Restrictions on galleries and videos lift as soon as your usage fits the new plan.
- Your custom domain waits for you: open Settings → Domains and choose Reconnect domain.
- CoreHue branding stays on until you turn the switch off.
- Services that were unpublished stay unpublished until you publish them again.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Free plan free forever?
Yes. The CoreHue Free plan has no time limit and doesn't need a card.
Can my clients still pay invoices on Free?
Yes. On the Free plan, invoices and online card payments through Stripe work exactly as they do on Plus and Pro, and there's no limit on how many invoices you send.
Why can't I reply to my client on Free?
Replying to client messages needs Plus or Pro. On Free you can still read every message, and document emails like invoices and contracts keep going out.
I sent five contracts on my trial. Can I send another on Free?
Not by hand. Contracts you sent during your trial count toward the Free plan's five-contract limit. Contracts attached to a booking service still go out when clients book, because they never count.
Do I lose my galleries when I move to Free?
No. Your galleries stay in your account when you move to Free. If you're over Free's 3.5 GB of storage, the oldest ones are hidden from clients, and their files are deleted only if you stay over the limit for 30 days.
