Upgrade from **Settings → Billing** to get more storage or additional features. The plan button shows whether the change applies immediately or at your next renewal. Your existing work stays in your account.

## Upgrading from Free

1. Go to **Settings → Billing** and choose **Upgrade**.
2. On the Plans page, under **Upgrade your plan**, pick **Monthly** or **Annual**.
3. Choose **Upgrade to Plus** or **Upgrade to Pro** on the plan you want.
4. Enter your card on the secure payment page and confirm.

Your new plan starts as soon as the payment goes through. Original downloads, reminders, client messaging and proposal sending switch back on, and any restricted galleries or videos are released once your usage fits the new plan. If you had a custom domain, open **Settings → Domains** and choose **Reconnect domain**.

You'll often land on the Plans page from an upgrade prompt instead. When you try something your plan doesn't include, CoreHue explains what's needed and offers **Upgrade to a paid plan** (from Free) or **Upgrade to Pro** (from Plus). Choosing it opens the Plans page. For a list of every prompt, see [I'm seeing an upgrade prompt](/docs/troubleshooting/upgrade-prompt).

## Upgrading during your free trial

During your trial the Plans page is titled **Choose your plan**. Choose **Continue with Plus** to keep Plus after your trial, or **Upgrade to Pro** to start Pro now or when your trial ends. All the detail is in [How your free trial works](/docs/plans-and-billing/your-free-trial).

## Moving from Plus to Pro

1. Go to **Settings → Billing** and choose **Upgrade to Pro**.
2. Pick **Monthly** or **Annual**.
3. Choose the button on the Pro card.

What happens next depends on how you pay:

- **Billed through Stripe (US dollars)**: the button reads **Review change**. It opens a secure confirmation page that shows exactly what you'll pay today, any credit for the time left on Plus, and when Pro starts. Pro applies as soon as you confirm.
- **Billed through Paystack (Naira)**: the button reads **Switch at renewal**. Pro starts at your next renewal date, and that's when you're charged the Pro price.

## Switching from monthly to annual

Choose the **Annual** toggle on the Plans page, then the button on your current plan.

- Through Stripe, the button reads **Review change** and the switch applies right away.
- Through Paystack, it reads **Switch at renewal** and starts at your next renewal.

Going the other way, from annual to monthly, always waits for your renewal so you keep the year you've paid for. See [Moving to a smaller plan](/docs/plans-and-billing/moving-to-a-smaller-plan).

## If a change is already scheduled

When a change is already scheduled, your billing page shows a **Plan change scheduled** notice and the Plans page buttons read **Change already scheduled**. To pick something else, first choose **Keep current plan** in that notice to cancel the scheduled change.

## Frequently asked questions

### Will I lose anything when I upgrade?

No. Everything you've made stays exactly as it is when you upgrade your CoreHue plan. Upgrading only adds room and features.

### Do I pay the full Pro price when I upgrade from Plus mid-month?

Not necessarily. Through Stripe, the confirmation page shows the exact amount, including credit for the unused part of your Plus period. Through Paystack, nothing changes until your renewal, when you start paying the Pro price.

### Why does my button say Switch at renewal instead of Review change?

CoreHue accounts billed through Paystack change plans at renewal, so the button reads **Switch at renewal**. On Stripe, moves to a smaller plan or a shorter billing period also wait for renewal.

### Can I get a receipt for my upgrade?

Yes. Every CoreHue charge, including upgrades, is listed under **Billing history** on **Settings → Billing**, with a PDF you can download. See [Your billing page](/docs/plans-and-billing/your-billing-page).
