What your client sees in a proposal
Your client opens the proposal link to review your quote, choose any options and accept or decline. If you've included a contract or payment requirement, they complete those steps before the booking is confirmed.
Opening the proposal
Your client taps the link in your email, or the one you shared, and the proposal opens on your branded client page. There's no account to create.
At the top they see the proposal number, who it's From and To, the date, and the expiry if you set one. Then the Service date and Location, followed by the items.
Choosing what they want
- Items lists what's included whatever they decide.
- Each choice group shows its name with "Pick one of these options".
- Add-ons says "Pick any of these options". Some have plus and minus buttons for quantity.
The Total updates as they choose. Underneath, a Payment schedule lists each payment as a percentage with its due date, with the note "Payment amounts are calculated from your final selections when you accept."
Accepting comes first
Your client chooses Accept proposal. A confirmation panel shows the total, each payment with its date, the steps that follow, and the full Agreement text they can expand and read.
Confirming is the commitment. Their choices lock at that moment, and the contract and invoice are created. Everything they need next is on the same page, so if they lose their place, the same link picks up where they left off.
Next steps, one at a time
After accepting, a Next steps list appears. Only one step is open at a time:
- Sign the agreement, with a Sign button.
- Pay the deposit or Pay, with the amount in the label.
They finish one and the next opens, so there's never a wall of tasks. It's also the right order, since you don't want money from someone who hasn't signed.
Signing
The agreement opens on its own page. Your client fills in any blanks you left for them, then signs by drawing or typing their signature. A link takes them back to the proposal when they're done. See Signing your contract.
Paying
Your client pays by card through Stripe, or follows your instructions for a manual method like bank transfer. With a manual method they tell you they've paid, attach proof if you asked for it, and see "Payment awaiting verification" until you confirm. See Reviewing payment proof.
Finishing up
When the last step is done and the proposal creates a booking, your client sees Booking confirmed and can go straight to their booking page. That's their home from then on: the balance, the agreement and the session details all live there.
If the proposal doesn't create a booking, they stay on the proposal, which shows what's been paid and what's still due.
Declining
Your client can choose Decline proposal and add an optional Reason for declining. The proposal closes and their page reads "This proposal was declined". A quick no is better than months of silence, and the reason usually tells you whether it was the price or the date.
If it expires or you cancel it
After the expiry, your client sees "This proposal has expired" and is asked to contact you for a fresh one. If you cancel it, they see "This proposal was withdrawn". Either way they can still read it but can't accept, sign or pay.
Plenty of clients open a proposal on their phone first. Before sending, open the link on yours and scroll through it the way they will.
You can share Reviewing and accepting a proposal with your client if they'd like a walkthrough.
Frequently asked questions
Does my client need to sign up to accept?
No. Accepting, signing and paying all happen on the proposal page, with no CoreHue account or password.
Can my client accept now and pay later?
Yes. The same proposal link picks up where your client left off, so they can come back to sign or pay. The expiry date stops applying once they've finished every step.
Does my client get an email when they accept?
No. Accepting a proposal doesn't send your client an email. Everything they need is on the page in front of them, and they can use the same link to come back.
Can my client see the options they didn't choose after accepting?
No. Once your client accepts, the proposal options they didn't pick come off the document, leaving a clean record of what was agreed.
