Switching to CoreHue
You can move to CoreHue gradually. Finish existing jobs in your current tools, set up the services and templates you need in CoreHue, then use it for new clients. There's no automatic migration tool.
Pick your current tool
Each guide matches the words you already know to CoreHue's, and covers what moves, what's different and a first-week plan.
| Coming from | Read |
|---|---|
| Pixieset | Switching from Pixieset to CoreHue |
| Pic-Time | Switching from Pic-Time to CoreHue |
| HoneyBook | Switching from HoneyBook to CoreHue |
| Dubsado | Switching from Dubsado to CoreHue |
| Studio Ninja | Switching from Studio Ninja to CoreHue |
| Calendly | Switching from Calendly to CoreHue |
| Google Forms | Switching from Google Forms to CoreHue |
If you're using two or three of these at once, which is common, CoreHue is built to replace them together. Galleries, booking, contracts, invoices and client messages live in one account with one brand.
What CoreHue replaces
| What you use another tool for | What CoreHue has |
|---|---|
| Client galleries and proofing | Galleries with chapters, passwords, private client access, favorites, selection requests and download controls, plus video on Plus and Pro |
| Client management | Contacts with every inquiry, booking, document, payment, message and gallery on one page |
| Quotes and proposals | Proposals with options, add-ons, a contract and a payment schedule on one link (Plus and Pro) |
| Contracts and e-signatures | Contracts with variables, client-filled blanks and counter-signing |
| Invoices and payments | Invoices with payment schedules, card payments through Stripe and manual methods like bank transfer, with no CoreHue platform fee |
| Scheduling | A booking page with inquiry, direct booking and mini session services, deposits and Google Calendar |
| Forms | Contact forms for new inquiries and questionnaires for booked clients |
| Automations | Built-in reminders and automatic questionnaires, not a custom workflow builder |
| Print sales and a store | Not included |
| A portfolio website | Not included |
What comes across, and how
There's no automatic importer, so anything that moves is moved by you. Very little needs to.
| What you have | How it moves |
|---|---|
| Galleries still in use | Download the photos from your old tool and upload them to a new gallery. CoreHue takes JPEG and PNG photos up to 100 MB each, RAW files on Pro, and videos on Plus and Pro. |
| Active clients | Add them in Contacts. New people create themselves as they inquire, book or fill in a contact form. |
| Contract wording | Paste it into a contract template and swap the blanks for variables. |
| Questionnaires and forms | Rebuild them as questionnaires or contact forms. |
| Saved emails | Retype the ones you use into email templates. |
| Prices and packages | Save them as items, and as options on proposals. |
| Money still owed | Create the invoice in CoreHue so it's chased and payable online. |
| Past payments and signed contracts | Stay where they are. Download the PDFs and keep them safe. |
| Your domain | Connect it on Plus or Pro. See Connecting a custom domain. |
For the details, see Bringing past clients and galleries over.
Download every signed contract, invoice PDF and gallery you still want. Once a subscription ends, those files are often gone for good.
Set these up first
Five things, roughly in this order. Everything else can wait.
- Your business details and logo in Settings → Business. Contracts, invoices and client pages fill in from here. See Business details and logo.
- Your default currency in Settings → Profile. It can't be changed later.
- How you get paid. Connect Stripe for card payments, add bank transfer instructions, or both. See How getting paid works.
- One service and your hours, if you take bookings. See Creating a booking service.
- Your contract and signature. Adapt one starter template and save your signature. See Saving your signature.
Your first week
Day 1. Finish creating your account and the five things above. Take a tour of your dashboard.
Day 2. Turn one starter contract template into the agreement you actually use.
Day 3. Publish a service, turn on your booking page and book yourself through it, so you see what clients see.
Day 4. Rebuild one recent gallery, design it, and check its access and download settings before sharing.
Day 5. Send yourself an invoice and pay it, so you've seen the payment side first.
Then. Put your next real inquiry through CoreHue from the start, and let everything already in flight finish on your old tool.
Before you commit
Have a look at What CoreHue doesn't do (yet). It's short and honest: no print store, no watermarks, one login per account, no website builder and no contact import. Better to know now.

Frequently asked questions
Can CoreHue import my galleries or clients automatically?
No, CoreHue has no importer. You download photos from your old tool and upload them, and add active clients by hand. Most photographers only move what's still in use.
Do I have to move everything at once?
No, and we'd suggest you don't. Finish current jobs on your old tool and start new ones in CoreHue. Overlap for a month or two is normal.
How long does switching take?
The essentials take an afternoon. Rebuilding contracts and questionnaires takes a little longer, and most people improve them as they go.
Can I try CoreHue before I cancel my old tool?
Yes. Start a 14-day free trial of CoreHue Plus with no card, and set up your first gallery or service while your old account is still running. See How your free trial works.
