Switching from Studio Ninja to CoreHue

This guide maps Studio Ninja's leads, jobs and workflows to CoreHue's contacts, bookings and built-in automations. It also covers setting up client galleries for delivery.

So switching can mean replacing two subscriptions, not one, and your client sees one brand the whole way through.

What moves over, and how

There's no importer, so you move what's still active and leave the rest where it is.

Clients and leads. Add the ones you're actively working with in Contacts, and set Contact type to Client for anyone who's already booked. New people arrive on their own.

Quotes and packages. Save your prices as items, then rebuild your usual quote as a proposal you can duplicate.

Contracts. Paste your wording into a contract template and replace the placeholders with variables.

Questionnaires. Rebuild them in the questionnaire builder and attach them to your services so they send themselves.

Galleries. If you deliver through a separate gallery service, download the photos for galleries clients still use and upload them to new CoreHue galleries. CoreHue takes JPEG and PNG photos up to 100 MB each, and video on Plus and Pro.

Jobs already in progress. Let them finish in Studio Ninja. Start new ones in CoreHue.

Money still owed. Create the invoice in CoreHue so it's chased and payable online. See Bringing past clients and galleries over.

What CoreHue does differently

One account from inquiry to delivery. The same contact holds the proposal, contract, invoice, booking and gallery. No syncing between tools, and your client never jumps to a different-looking site for their photos.

Gallery tools built for proofing. Collections, selection requests with a brief and target, client-only chapters and per-chapter downloads.

Booking that collects everything. A direct booking service can take the signed contract, questionnaire answers and deposit before the booking confirms.

What you'd give up

Custom workflow task lists. CoreHue's automation is a fixed set of reminders and automatic questionnaires, not a list of tasks you design per job type.

Print sales from your gallery service. If your current gallery tool sells prints, CoreHue doesn't. You can collect picks with a Print order selection request and invoice for them instead.

Team logins and expense tracking. One login per account, and the finance report covers income only.

See What CoreHue doesn't do (yet).

Your first week

Day 1. Create your account, add your business details, logo and saved signature, and set your default currency.

Day 2. Turn a starter contract template into your agreement, and save your items.

Day 3. Create your main service, add your contract and questionnaire to it, and turn on your booking page. Book yourself through it.

Day 4. Rebuild one recent gallery, design it, and check its access and download settings.

Day 5. Connect payments and turn on automatic reminders.

Then. Take your next lead through CoreHue from the first reply, and deliver your next job here too.

Frequently asked questions

Is CoreHue a good Studio Ninja alternative for photographers?

Yes, if you want your CRM and your client galleries in one account. It covers leads, quotes, contracts, invoices, scheduling and delivery together.

Once your active galleries have moved and your next delivery goes through CoreHue, yes. If you rely on print sales from that service, keep it for those.

Can I import my Studio Ninja data?

No, CoreHue has no Studio Ninja import. Add active clients by hand and rebuild your templates. Most photographers only move current work.

Does CoreHue have job workflows?

Not in the same way. CoreHue has built-in automation instead of custom workflows: reminders for bookings, invoices and documents, and questionnaires that send themselves around a booking. There's no custom task list builder.
