I'm seeing an upgrade prompt
A box just asked you to upgrade, and you'd like to know why before you decide anything. Each prompt is tied to one specific action, so the title tells you exactly which limit you've reached. Nothing you've already set up is lost either way.
How the prompts work
Most limits show a small window with a title, one line about the limit, and two buttons:
- Upgrade to a paid plan if you're on Free, or Upgrade to Pro if you're on Plus and the feature is Pro-only. Either button takes you to the Plans page.
- Close, which leaves everything as it was.
Upload limits show a toast with See plans instead. If you're on the Free plan after a trial or a cancelled subscription, everything you set up on a paid plan is still there and comes back when you upgrade. See What's included on the Free plan.
Every upgrade prompt

| Contract limit reached | Sending or sharing a new contract after using the 5 included on Free | Plus or Pro |
| Questionnaire limit reached | Sending or sharing a new questionnaire after using the 5 included on Free | Plus or Pro |
| Send this proposal | Sending or sharing a proposal on Free | Plus or Pro |

What each one means and what you can do
Published service limit reached
Free includes 1 published service and Plus includes 5. The count sits by Add service as "X of N published". To stay on your plan, unpublish a service you don't need right now, then publish the new one. Unpublished services keep all their settings. See How many services can I publish?
Connect your own domain
Custom domains are on Plus and Pro. Your yourname.corehue.co address keeps working on every plan. If your account moved to Free, a connected domain was disconnected; after upgrading, choose Reconnect domain. See Connecting a custom domain.
Contract limit reached and Questionnaire limit reached
Free includes 5 contracts and 5 questionnaires. Each one counts once, the first time you send or share it. Resending doesn't count, and neither do contracts inside proposals, contracts on booking services or questionnaires a booking sends automatically. The count includes everything you've sent before, so an account that sent more than 5 on a paid plan is already at the limit on Free. To work within it, add the contract to a booking service or proposal instead.
Send this proposal and Edit this proposal
On Free you can create, duplicate, edit and save proposals as drafts ("Create proposals for free. Upgrade to send or share them."). Sending, sharing, and editing a proposal that's already been sent need Plus or Pro. Proposals you sent before moving to Free stay live for your clients.
Send reminders
Automatic and manual reminders are on Plus and Pro. On Free, the Reminders tab in Settings is hidden and nothing sends, though your reminder settings are kept for when you upgrade. Until then, you can nudge a client yourself from your own email app.
Message your clients
On Free your conversations stay readable, and the reply box says "Your messages stay here. Upgrade to send and reply." Invoice, proposal, contract, questionnaire and booking emails still go out as normal, and contact form submissions still arrive. See Messages on the Free plan.
Allow original downloads
Free includes web-size downloads only. Clients get the largest web size you allow, and your Original setting returns when you upgrade. Your own downloads aren't affected. See Download sizes explained.
Remove CoreHue branding
On Free, "Powered by CoreHue" shows on galleries, booking pages, contact forms, documents, invoices and client emails. Plus and Pro can turn it off. See Removing CoreHue branding.
This gallery is restricted
"This gallery is unavailable to clients because you're over your storage limit." Delete files to get back under your limit, or upgrade for more storage (the button reads Upgrade on Free and Upgrade to Pro on Plus). Restrictions lift as soon as you fit. See When you're over your storage limit.
Upload messages
These appear as toasts or on rows in the upload panel when you add files.
| Message | What it means | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| "Video uploads are available on Plus and Pro." (row: Video needs Plus or Pro) | Free doesn't include gallery video | Upgrade, or share the video another way |
| "Video storage full. Upgrade or delete videos to upload more." | You've used your plan's total video time | Delete videos you no longer need, or upgrade |
| "That video is longer than your plan allows." | One video is longer than your plan's single-video limit | Trim it, or upgrade |
| "You've reached this month's video upload limit." | You've uploaded your plan's monthly video allowance | Wait for next month, or upgrade to Pro if you're on Plus |
| "RAW image uploads are available on Pro." | RAW files need Pro | Export JPEGs, or upgrade to Pro |
| "Turn on RAW image uploads in Business settings." | You're on Pro but the switch is off | Choose Open settings and turn on RAW image uploads |
| "Storage full. Upgrade or free up space to upload." | Your photo storage is full | Delete photos, or upgrade |
See Video limits by plan and How storage works for the numbers.
Currency hints
On Free and Plus, invoices and services use your default currency. You'll see "Upgrade to Pro to select another currency" on a service's currency, and "Upgrade to Pro to invoice in other currencies" in your profile. Documents you already sent in another currency stay viewable and payable. See Invoicing in more than one currency.
Frequently asked questions
Will I lose anything if I close the prompt?
No. Close leaves everything exactly as it was. The prompt only stops the one action that needs a bigger plan.
Why does the button say Upgrade to Pro instead of a paid plan?
You're already on Plus, and what you tried needs Pro, like publishing more than 5 services.
I upgraded. Do my old settings come back?
Yes. Original downloads, reminders, branding choices and messaging pick up where you left off. A custom domain needs one extra step: choose Reconnect domain under Settings → Domains.
Which plan should I pick?
See Choosing between Free, Plus and Pro, and CoreHue plans and pricing for the full comparison.
